Xiaomi has finally made an official announcement regarding the much-anticipated Redmi K80 series, which has been the subject of numerous leaks and rumors for quite some time. The company confirmed that the series will be unveiled next week and shared some critical technical details.
Xiaomi Shares the First Details About the Redmi K80 Series
Xiaomi revealed that this year’s Redmi K series will consist of only two models: Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, leaving out the budget-friendly K80e variant. Additionally, the company emphasized that all phones in the series will feature 2K resolution displays developed by TCL Huaxing.
These displays will use M9 Luminescent material, specially designed to reduce power consumption by 20.3%, and will offer a peak brightness of 1800 nits.
The Redmi K80 Pro, bearing the model number 24122RKC7C, recently appeared on Geekbench. But what exactly does the smartphone offer?
That’s not all. Xiaomi also confirmed that both models will feature ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. While the series is set to debut next week, an exact launch date has not yet been disclosed.
